British Bridal Boutiques – We Want To Work With You!

Did you know?

The average wedding creates enough toxic carbon dioxide to fill more than 20 hot air balloons! However, bridal parties are becoming more eco-aware in their choices. In the 2018 National Wedding Survey, 39% of engaged couples said they were making sustainability a priority in their wedding plans. A new company is tapping into this trend by giving sample gowns a fresh future, cutting the cost to boutiques, brides and the planet.

Why Join Bridalise?

“I know from personal experience that buying sample gowns for customers to try on is a huge financial investment for boutiques,” says Emma Marszalek, founder of Bridalise. “As collections change, sale rails are often the only way to recoup a little of this substantial outlay. The alternatives include destroying discontinued lines or sending them to landfill. To prevent such waste, Bridalise works directly with boutiques to sell ex-sample gowns online to brides.”

Before setting up Bridalise, Emma ran a successful events company and bridal boutique based in Morecambe, Lancashire. She and her team now scour the country to connect with reputable UK boutiques and designers. To pass their high standards, a gown must never have been altered or worn at a wedding, only tried on. Dress sizes currently range from 8 to 28, with exact bust, waist and hips measurements available to view online.

“We’ve created a genuine win-win situation for all parties,” explains Emma. “Sourcing dresses already in the UK reduces the gown’s carbon footprint as there is no need for overseas shipping. Brides love the affordability, as well as the certainty we provide compared to buying a pre-loved dress. Boutiques can breathe a sigh of relief in receiving a higher percentage return on their substantial financial outlay.
